When the National Coalition of Labor approached us, they were looking to reinforce their digital presence to reflect their mission: helping unions provide top-tier benefits to members at the lowest possible cost. Their existing site had the structure but lacked a clear narrative flow and the user-experience polish needed to truly engage union leadership and rank-and-file members alike.
We developed a modern WordPress site built for clarity, trust and functionality. Key features include:
A strong value statement up front: “United We Bargain, Divided We Beg.”
Clean presentation of their mission: enabling unions to leverage cooperative purchasing to provide member benefits, at little or no cost.
Clear navigation for multiple audiences: union officers, stewards, and members — with resources like news, podcasts, and member-benefit information.
A design focus on readability, mobile responsiveness and professional tone—critical for a 501(c)(5) non-profit working with large union groups.
Strong calls to action and membership-oriented features: benefit enrollment, signup for newsletters, and a secure login area for members.
The result is a website that not only communicates the Coalition’s scale and purpose (serving over 300,000 union members) but also positions them as a credible, engaging partner for unions seeking cost-effective benefits solutions. The upgraded site supports their operational goals of member growth, increased participation and enhanced union loyalty.
